Joint Regional Winner of the 2026 Commonwealth Association of Architects Student Award, Asia Region. The project — "Shajar-e-Ilm: A Living Knowledge Commons" — is a geodesic-Islamic hybrid dome designed as both a public pavilion and a living memorial.
The design leaves 132 tile spaces empty as a permanent memorial to the victims of the APS Peshawar attack, embedding memory and grief into the architecture itself. The theoretical backbone is Critical Regionalism — "Still Human: The Third Path."
The design combines traditional Multani blue-glazed terracotta tilework with contemporary geodesic structural logic, a central fountain, and open public programming.
